Backroads Whistler was one of Whistler's original summer adventure tour companies. It began operating in the 1990s, pioneering "eco-friendly tours” and developing non-polluting, healthy recreational activities that include a range of summer activities such as canoeing, kayaking, wildlife tours, and formerly mountain biking. Whistler Backroads was the first to offer mountain biking on Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, preceding the advent of Whistler Mountain Bike Park.
