History
Margaret was born in West Brooksville, Me. She travelled to Alta Lake in 1910 to help her sister Myrtle build Rainbow Lodge. From there she moved to Victoria, BC. She was employed as a manager of a news stand of the Empress Hotel where she met and married Henry Esworthy during the 1920s. During World War II Margaret was conductorette on the Vancouver Street car system and when the system was replaced by buses she worked as a driver until her retirement aged 65. She lived in Vancouver until the late 1970s and then to her 20 acre property in Summerland until her death.
She had one child, David, born 29 Jan 1929.
