History
Keenan Dennehy is a remote luxury adventure guide/mechanic and owner of Keen Distributions, a mushroom distributing supplier. He was born and raised in Whitehorse, YT. He attended Selkirk College in Castlegar, BC to become a trucking and transport mechanic. In 2013, he and his brother, Quinn, were support crew for their aunt and uncle's, Ginny and Kerry Dennehy, cycle across Canada in honour of their son cousin (Quinn and Keenan's cousin), Kelty Patrick Dennehy, who committed suicide after a battle with depression. The trip's goal was to end the stigma of depression and create mental health awareness. That same year, he worked a season as a food handler and dishwasher at Mike Wiegele Heli-skiing Resort in Blue River, BC and the summer 2014 the same at Langara Fishing Adventures on Haida Gwaii. In 2016, he worked as a mechanic and guide on Somerset Island, Nunavut, and from 2017 to 2019 worked as a general mechanic and South Pole Camp assistant in Antarctica. Since 2013, he has also run his own business, Keen Distributions specializing in the growing, drying, and shipping of morels and other wild harvest foods. He currently lives in Nelson, BC.
