History

Born in Broadview, Saskatchewan. She met Fred Woods in Saskatchewan and they married. In 1923 they moved to BC and they moved to Alta Lake around 1926.

They had four children, Helen, Jack, Pat and Kenny.

Elizabeth was musical - she had learnt to play the organ as a child and while she was at Alta Lake she had a piano accordion. She taught her children to play instruments (Helen the violin and Jack, Pat & Kenny the guitar) and they formed a family band that played at local dances and earned some extra income for the family.

The Woods family left Alta Lake for good when Mr. Woods joined the army and moved his family to Seymour Heights in North Vancouver, where he and Elizabeth lived for many years.
