Gary Fiegehen is a Vancouver-based nature and outdoor photographer as well as the owner of Gary Fiegehen Photography. He was born in 1947. Gary studied at Ryerson Polytechnic Institute in Toronto, ON before moving to Whistler. While working there as a photographer, he travelled to photograph the Soviet Union and China. He eventually settled in Vancouver. His photographs have appeared in magazines like Equinox, Harrowsmith, and Beautiful British Columbia, as well as a variety of books about British Columbia. Fiegehen is also the author of the book "Stikine: the Great River' (D&M, 1991) and a contributing author to 'Cowboy' (by B.A. Payton and Jim Skipp, 2000), 'Vancouver Voyage', 'Charting the Northwest Coast: a Voyage of Discovery' (by Robin Fisher, 1992), and 'Nisga’a People of the Nass River' (by Alex Rose and the Nisga’a Tribal Council, 1994).
