History

Rod Thompson, husband of Pam Thompson and father to Canadian Olympic ski cross gold medalist Marielle Thompson, Broderick Thompson, and Tess Thompson (both of which are ski racers). He and his wife run the Bear Trail Inn in White Gold, and he teaches special education, ski racing, physical education, and science at Whistler Secondary School. He attended Toni Sailer Summer Ski Camp in Whistler in 1977. His daughter won her Olympic gold medal in Whistler during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
