A report on Mount Garibaldi Alpine Recreation Area - Ski Operations

Art Prints

Prints of pen and ink drawings done by Mark Anthony between 1974 and 1978, including a steamship traversing Howe Sound in 1905, a street scene in Squamish on Victoria Day 1913, and the tallship "Discovery" exploring the Squamish waterfront of Howe Sound in 1792 with the Stawamus Chief in the background.

Board Meeting Agenda, Exhibit Planning, May 10

Board meeting agenda for the Whistler Museum and Archives Society May 10, 1989. Includes correspondence, outside signage, outside flower baskets, inside signage, exhibit showcases and texts, the ski room, the pioneer room, planning for the layout of the museum and three sample texts that have been edited in pen. The name Kris appears at the top of the first page.

Bryan Vogler

Fonds consists of two letters representing the proposal that started the Whistler Express train, in which donor (Bryan Vogler) played a role. The proposal was a bid process between VIA Rail and the Rocky Mountaineer Rail Group; the Rocky Mountaineer was ultimately successful. The letters talk of the necessity of developing a Commuter Rail Service to facilitate tourist transportation between Whistler, Squamish, and North Vancouver.

Film of a boat named Canim, presumably on Canim Lake; Myrtle Philip holding up a large fish that she has just caught, again presumably on Canim Lake; McGilvary Lodge, apparently filmed from a moving train or other vehicle; scenes of Squamish including the PGE railway pier and the Chief. The box for the film has written in Myrtle's handwriting "Canim Lake, Oct 1935" and inside the box is a piece of paper typed by typewriter "Boat named Canim / McGilvary Lodge / Squamish / October 1935."
