The group of four men comprised of George Bury, George Eisenschimmel, Howard Hamil (all from the Holyburn Ski Club on the North Shore) and a guide, whose name has been forgotten. They explored around Cheakamus Lake, Black Tusk, Garibaldi Lake, and the Barrier. The group were dropped off by float plane on Cheakamus Lake and exited down the Barrier. They then hiked to the rail line, where they flagged down the Pacific Great Eastern train to Squamish, and then took the boat back to Vancouver. The ski hill plans were never carried out due to the interruption of the Second World War.
