Princes St. from Scott Monument, Edinburgh

Postcard labelled "Princes St. from Scott Monument, looking West, Edinburgh" sent from cousin William in North Berwick to Miss Jenny Jardine. The front of the card has an oval-shaped, tinted photograph of an Edinburgh street, with buildings and a garden. Around this photograph is a design of red and green tartan with leaves. The words "ROYAL STUART" are printed at the bottom right.

On the back of the card is a brief handwritten message from William to Jennie Jardine. Her address was originally written as being in West Vancouver, but this has been crossed out and replaced with Alta Lake. There is a red one-penny British stamp in the top right corner. Card is postmarked 5 PM May 31 1921 in North Berwick and June 20 1921 in North Vancouver.

Easter Greetings

Postcard labelled "Easter Greetings," sent from Aunt [Margaret?] in Vicksburg, Michigan to Master Bobby Neilan [sic] at 34 1/2 Mile. The front of the card has a drawing of two anthropomorphic rabbits hopping over Easter eggs. Also on the front of the card is a printed message: "Bunnies greet you, they've come to say / I wish you well this Easter Day." On the back of the card is a handwritten message from the sender to her nephew Bobby Jardine-Neiland. There is a red two-cent American stamp placed upside-down in the top right corner. The card is postmarked March 29, 192[8?] in Vicksburg.

North Berwick from the Beach

Postcard labelled "North Berwick from the Beach," sent from Aunty M. (Mary Rutherford?) to Mr. Bobbie Jardine. On the front of the card is a tinted photograph of a sandy beach with multiple people atop large rocks in the foreground. In the background is a village, with a large hill rising in the far distance.

On the back of the card is a handwritten message from Aunty M. in North Berwick to Robert Jardine-Neiland at 35 1/2 Mile. A red one-penny British stamp is in the top right corner. The card is postmarked 9:45 AM, November 24 1923, in North Berwick.

High Street, Kinross

Postcard labelled "High Street, Kinross" sent from Thomas Neiland, Jr. to his parents, Thomas and Lizzie Neiland, during his time with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Scotland. On the front of the card is a black and white photograph of the High Street in Kinross, with a building marked 'Post Office' and a tall clock tower in the foreground. There is also a purple oval stamp, partially faded, marked "R.C.A.F." and dated February 26, 1944. On the back of the card is a handwritten message from "Tommy" to his parents at 34 1/2 Mile. The card has no stamp. It is postmarked February 26, 1944, Field Post Office.

Summerland Rd.

Postcard labelled "Summerland Rd." sent from Jack Jardine to his mother, Lizzie Neiland. On the front of the card is a black and white photograph of Summerland Road, with an automobile driving along it. There are high cliffs on one side of the road and a flat expanse (possibly a lake or a field) on the other.

On the back of the card is a handwritten message from "Jack" to his mother at Mile 34 1/2. He mentions his siblings Bob and Jenny. There is a purple three-cent Canadian stamp in the top right corner. The card is postmarked August 15 1944 in Penticton, British Columbia.
