Pat O'Neill was originally from Winnipeg. He ran away when he was 16 and lived with the Jardine-Neiland family working for them for about one year. This was about 1929. Tom Neiland hired him in Vancouver to bring a team of horses from Vancouver, via boat and train. By March 1940 he was again living in Winnipeg.
