Barry McClure is a Whistler resident. He has been a member of the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) since 2020, but has been involved in frisbee golf in Whistler since the 1980s. He has also participated in ski racing events in Whistler, including the Peak to Valley Race, since the 1980s. In the 2010s, he participated in the Vancouver Sun Run and the BC 5 Peaks trail-running series.
