        John Kindree is a Canadian ski instructor and alpine ski racer based in Whistler. He was born in Squamish in 1952 to Dr. Clifford LaVerne [who went by LaVerne] and Norma Kindree. He had four siblings: Sharon, David, Paul, and Diane. He has been a long-time ski instructor at Whistler Blackcomb's Ski School and ski camps (including Dave Murray Summer Ski Camp), and competed in many alpine ski races at the resort in the 1990s, including the Peak to Valley Race. He and his wife, Suzanne Kindree, have children together
