Mogul Bash

Original documents from the May 1975 Mogul Bash on Whistler Mountain. Includes registration forms, announcer sheets, judges' recording sheets, and winning teams.

This was a privately-organized Mogul Bashing contest, however Whistler Mountain did help out with loaning of safety fencing & gates, Ski Partol, loudspeakers, a music system, and tables. The event was located on the last face of the Back Bowl on Whistler Mountain, not far from the Blue Chair. The event was held one week before the Professional End of Season ski competition, held on Lower Franz (Gregg Athans won the triple jump). The Mogul Bash was judged solely on entertainment factor. There were no rules except to have fun, and freestyle skiing was the theme. There were 3 judges at the bottom of the run wearing tuxedos, one of them being Brad Sills. The winning team was the Painted Ladies, composed of girls who were only wearing ski boots. The Apres-ski party and award ceremonies were held at The Keg and eventually moved on to The Boot Pub.
