History
Donald Jardine grew up in Whistler and Squamish in the 1940s and 1950s before later moving to Calgary, AB. He was born in 1947 to Jack and Irma Jardine, who had married the year before. He would have two siblings: Cathy and Tom. Donald spent his first few years in the Function Junction area of Whistler, then called 34 1/2 Mile, in a cabin where the family lived just next to Donald's grandmother, Lizzie Neiland, who owned the lot. Donald's father worked at a small logging outfit that was located within walking distance. In 1950, Lizzie Neiland sold the property and Jack and Irma moved the family to Squamish, where Donald spent most of his childhood. Donald married his wife, Linda, and they moved to Calgary, AB. While living there, they had a son, Kevin James, on November 8, 1976.
