Now: Vail takes over - what does that mean? Better infrastructure, higher prices on food, more ritzy? Can they bring even more people? Do they want to?
Future: Better transportation, more options with service for non-skiers, those that want a different winter experience and summer - more variety of events - more mountain options."

Mandy Rousseau

Draw entry answer by Mandy Rousseau for the Whistler Museum event "Whistler's Mountain Identity [...]". In response to the question "What would you like to say about the past, present, and future of Whistler's Mountain Identity?" Mandy responded:

"Past: Inspiring! People followed their dreams & a community was built around them.
Present: Questionable. We're heavily influenced by our American neighbours & W[histler ]B[lackcomb] has been bought by an American resort. There is a lot of unease.
Future: Hopeful. Circling back to our past, we are a passionate bunch & I'm certain that whatever we the collective identify as our next chapter, economic or otherwise, it will be exciting & lead to awesome-ness.

PS: Bring back Icon Gone!!!"
