On the front of the card is a black and white photograph of Summerland Road, with an automobile driving along it. There are high cliffs on one side of the road and a flat expanse (possibly a lake or a field) on the other.

On the back of the card is a handwritten message from "Jack" to his mother at Mile 34 1/2. He mentions his siblings Bob and Jenny. There is a purple three-cent Canadian stamp in the top right corner. The card is postmarked August 15 1944 in Penticton, British Columbia.

Postcard labelled "The Breakwater, Bude," from [Coreen?] to Mrs. (Lizzie) Neiland. On the front of the postcard is a black and white photograph of the ocean and coastline at Bude, Cornwall, England. On the back of the card is a handwritten message from the sender to Lizzie Jardine-Neiland at 34 1/2 Mile. There is a red British postage stamp in the top right corner. The card is postmarked 10 AM September 9, 1945 at Harrow, Middlesex.
