Alta Lake Post Office and Store from the lake in summer with an upturned canoe in foreground and a group of guests to right. On verso, postmard reads
"Alta Lake B.C. SP 22 15" and 2 cent Canadian stamp is adhered. Postcard is addressed to "M D Newall / 184 High St / Dalbeattie / Scotland" and inscribed "Sept 15/15. This is a sample of a genuine log house. Staying in a smaller one and doing our own cooking. It is out of the world / mail comes twice a week. Having good fishing / 17 before 12 o'clock / 35 this afternoon, they are all just [illeg.] area [illeg.] around 1/2 lb. / largest was 2 lbs / DN" [Initials may be that of David Newall].
