Series consists of meeting minutes, newspaper and magazine clippings, correspondence, a report, and a feasibility study relating to the development of Whistler as a ski hill and a residential area in the 1960s. There is a particular focus on Whistler Alpine Villa Ltd., for which Hartland M. MacDougall (donor's father) worked. Also mentioned are the Whistler Skier's Chapel and Garibaldi Lifts Ltd. The items are arranged in the order they were received from the donor.

Item is a large newspaper article from page 3 of The Lions Gate Times, entitled "Garibaldi: Blueprint for the future" and dated Thursday, January 16, 1964. The article discusses potential ski hill development within Garibaldi Park, particularly at the Alta Lake/Whistler Mountain area. There are two 'sub-articles': "Garibaldi ski lift: the public can build it," by Mary MacDonald, and "On to Garibaldi," by Editor.
