A Message From a Committee of Concerned Electors

A letter going out to the residents of Whistler from a group of concerned residents, stating who they believed should be elected as mayor and aldermen in Whistlers first election in 1975. They state how they believe for mayor, Pat Carleton should be elected, and for the aldermen, Gary Watson, Bob Bishop, and Jack Bright should be elected. They give reasons as to why they have picked each candidate, and list their accomplishments and experience.

Dear Voter - Garry Watson

A letter to the voters of the resort municipality of Whistler, from Garry Watson. In this letter Watson expresses his intent to run for Alderman, and outlines his goals and plans he will work towards, if elected. He states that he wants to work to developing a town centre with amenities for residents and visitors. He wants Whistler to grow into a larger year round resort municipality.

Resort Municipality of Whistler Ballot Paper Account 1976

A ballot paper count for the municipal election held on November 20th, 1976. Geoff F. Pearce, the Returning Officer, submitted the account of votes. In the election Pat Carleton was voted mayor 498 votes to 218 for Gordon Young. Aldermen were also voted in.
