Fonds contain the records of Don MacLaurin. MacLaurin was involved in the forestry industry of British Columbia, taught at BCIT, and was heavily involved with the Resort Municipality of Whistler. He was in several forestry associations, including the Canadian Institute of Forestry, British Columbia Foresters, and the Forest Nursery Association of British Columbia. MacLaurin created the Whistler Interpretive Forest. MacLaurin also completed assessments for private developers. Included in the fonds are his personal records.

Most of the records were created in the Whistler region.

Documents concerning Pacific Western Products Ltd. Series includes maps; development plan comments; prescription agreements; documents regarding logging proposals; management plans; a CD with WFP reports.

Various records pertaining to the LRUP. File contains drafts of reports; a zone use matrix; questionnaire comments; Whistler Demonstration Forest Objectives; terms of reference for 1998 LRUP proposal submissions.

Series consists of documents pertaining to the Whistler Interpretive Forest and the Cheakamus Community Forest. Series includes maps of the area and boundary proposals; pamphlets and drafts for self-guided tours; filming permits and applications for projects within the Whistler Interpretive Forest; budgets and invoices related to the upkeep of the Interpretive Forest; drafts and information on interpretive signage; correspondence related to the Whistler Interpretive Forest and the Cheakamus Community Forest; Forest Development Plans.
