The inscription on the recto reads "Denis DeBeck house Parkhurst" and the inscription on the verso reads "Dorothy and Denis 1st house, picture taken from across Green Lake, Gree [sic] Lake Parkhurst, 1938, across Green Lake."
It is believed that Denis and Dorothy's house is the building on the right as Denis's sister, Betsy Henderson, remembers it being right next to the creek that runs into Green Lake.
