Princes St. from Scott Monument, Edinburgh

Postcard labelled "Princes St. from Scott Monument, looking West, Edinburgh" sent from cousin William in North Berwick to Miss Jenny Jardine. The front of the card has an oval-shaped, tinted photograph of an Edinburgh street, with buildings and a garden. Around this photograph is a design of red and green tartan with leaves. The words "ROYAL STUART" are printed at the bottom right.

On the back of the card is a brief handwritten message from William to Jennie Jardine. Her address was originally written as being in West Vancouver, but this has been crossed out and replaced with Alta Lake. There is a red one-penny British stamp in the top right corner. Card is postmarked 5 PM May 31 1921 in North Berwick and June 20 1921 in North Vancouver.
