Postcard of several people posing on a felled giant fir tree. Caption on postcard : "THIS FIR GIANT MEASURED 417 FT. IN HEIGHT WITH A CLEAR 300 FT. TO THE FIRST LIMB. AT THE BUTT IT WAS 25 FT. Group of Happy "Rainbowites"

This photograph shows a group of friends and visitors at Rainbow Lodge. George McRae is in the top row, second from the left and Ivan Ackery is in the bottom row, again second from the left.

A note signed "Geo," dated July 1939 on the reverse of the photograph states, "Dear Alex: - another group of happy "Rainbowites." Doesn't "commander" James look topping, and hasn't Jayne that alluring Rainbow smile? If only Ivan could see this picture! oh-hum?"

This photograph shows a house on a point at Alpha Lake during wintertime. The house is almost certainly that of Dr. & Grace Naismith. Annotations in pen on the reverse of the image read: "Original house on point of Alpha Lake," "about 1930" and "Built by Dr. returned from war." A separate annotation in pencil reads, "possibly Dr. Naismith and Grace."

An Evening's Catch in Miller Lake
