A map from a British Columbia Automobile Association (BCAA) magazine
Fonds consists of drawings and prints of the Squamish region, historical scenes, and other parts of BC by artist Mark Anthony from 1974-1978.
Fonds consists of two letters representing the proposal that started the Whistler Express train, in which donor (Bryan Vogler) played a role. The proposal was a bid process between VIA Rail and the Rocky Mountaineer Rail Group; the Rocky Mountaineer was ultimately successful. The letters talk of the necessity of developing a Commuter Rail Service to facilitate tourist transportation between Whistler, Squamish, and North Vancouver.
Contents include:
Photographs of the Sea-to-Sky Highway (Highway 99) just before upgrades were made in preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, and a menu for Nasty Jack's restaurant (formerly in the location of Garbanzo Bike and Bean) in newsletter format.
Parte de Philip Fonds
Film of a boat named Canim, presumably on Canim Lake; Myrtle Philip holding up a large fish that she has just caught, again presumably on Canim Lake; McGilvary Lodge, apparently filmed from a moving train or other vehicle; scenes of Squamish including the PGE railway pier and the Chief. The box for the film has written in Myrtle's handwriting "Canim Lake, Oct 1935" and inside the box is a piece of paper typed by typewriter "Boat named Canim / McGilvary Lodge / Squamish / October 1935."
Photographs and video taken by Robert Clark Kline on mountaineering trips to various peak in Garibaldi Provincial Park, Golden Ears Provincial Park, and peaks in the Lower Mainland between 1988 and 1991.
Fonds contain the records of Don MacLaurin. MacLaurin was involved in the forestry industry of British Columbia, taught at BCIT, and was heavily involved with the Resort Municipality of Whistler. He was in several forestry associations, including the Canadian Institute of Forestry, British Columbia Foresters, and the Forest Nursery Association of British Columbia. MacLaurin created the Whistler Interpretive Forest. MacLaurin also completed assessments for private developers. Included in the fonds are his personal records.
Most of the records were created in the Whistler region.
Fond consists of material donated by Gordon McKeever and includes promotional stickers for Whistler Mountain and Whistler Blackcomb, a promotional book for Whistler's restaurants, four travel planners created by the Whistler Resort Association to promote both Winter and Summer seasons between 1997 and 2000, a paper spiral bound guide for Whistler Resort Association (WRA) members from November 15th, 1996, a 1999 VHS promotional resort video guide for the Resort Municipality of Whistler, a variety of materials supporting the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, four paper business directory booklets printed for the Whistler Chamber of Commerce dating from 1994, 1996, and 1999, and sixteen posters depicting a variety of subject matter including Whistler festivals, ski racing events, concert series, car shows, heli-skiing, Molson and Shell Cups, and Whistler Resort tourism.
