Garibaldi Ski School Update Letter

A letter from the Garibaldi Ski School director Alan White to Mrs. and Mr. Ladner. It gives an update halfway though the International Summer Ski Camp held in 1966. It describes the weather and the ski activities that occurred at the camp and thanks Mr. and Mrs. Ladner for their support of the camp and asks if they have any feedback for future years.

Newsletter August 1968

The Whistler Mountain Ski Club newsletter issued in August 1968. The newsletter gives information about past activities, including its founding in March of 1968, its application to join the Canadian Amateur Ski Association, a dance held on April 13, 1968, the first Garibaldi Spring Slalom on April 28, 1968, and a wine party at the Roundhouse on May 18, 1968. It also gives information about future plans for social activities, racing instruction in cooperation with Jim McConkey and Byron Gracie, the Nancy Greene Little League instruction for children under 14, hosting races, the Annual General Meeting to be held October 1, 1968, and information about applications for membership.

du Maurier International Ladies Giant Slalom Official Results

The official results for the du Maurier International Ladies Giant Slalom held at Whistler Mountain on January 28 and 29, 1967. The Canadian Amateur Ski Association logo is also at the top of the page. The first page features a watermark image of a ski racer. The jury's names and countries are listed on the first page. The racers' place, start number, name, country, time, and FIS points are listed on both the first and second pages. The second page lists the disqualifications, did not starts and did not finishes, and is signed by the referee.

Ski Whistler Pamphlet

A Ski Whistler pamphlet from 1970. The front panel has the Ski Whistler logo and a photograph of skiers riding a chairlift. The back panels contain a Whistler accommodation guide, a listing of dining facilities, a map of how to get to Whistler and instructions for access via road, rail, ship, air, bus and car rental services. An inside spread is a map of Whistler Mountain's ski runs which indicates the difficulty of each run. In the middle of the pamphlet is a large Ski Whistler spread that gives an overview of Whistler Mountain's ski facilities and village amenities, and 12 photos of skiers and locations on the mountain.

International Summer Ski Camp Pamphlet

A pamphlet from the International Summer Ski Camp. The front panel shows a drawing of a man with a broken leg and a crutch saying "So then I said who needs the International Summer Ski Camp at Garibaldi's Whistler Mountain B.C. Canada with guest coaches Toni Sailer & Art Furrer for junior skiers of intermediate-advanced racing ability under the direction of Roy Ferris & Alan White and all that jazz". The inside panels feature images of the T-bar used for the camp, Toni Sailer, Art Furrer and four non-skiing activities available at the camp (water skiing, sailing, horseback riding, and barbeques). It also contains short biographies of Roy Ferris, Heidi Obrecht, Alan White, Jo Csizmazia, Toni Sailer and Art Furrer. The other panels have information about the camp itself, such as the qualifications for attending, the schedule, the equipment needed, transportation and insurance.

Whistler Mountain Postcard

A postcard featuring Whistler Mountain and Garibaldi Provincial Park. The printed caption reads "This 2400 foot long T-bar takes skiers up 700 vertical feet through acres of power snow on the north slopes of Whistler Mountain, 73 miles north of Vancouver." There is no handwriting on the postcard.
