Documents concerning urban development in Whistler. The file includes information on a residential subdivision west of Alta Lake; a draft of "The Resort Municipality of Whistler Guidelines for Development of Accommodation on Difficult Terrain"; RMOW Official Community Plan maps; photocopies from an information booklet on Whistler history.

Series consists of meeting minutes, newspaper and magazine clippings, correspondence, a report, and a feasibility study relating to the development of Whistler as a ski hill and a residential area in the 1960s. There is a particular focus on Whistler Alpine Villa Ltd., for which Hartland M. MacDougall (donor's father) worked. Also mentioned are the Whistler Skier's Chapel and Garibaldi Lifts Ltd. The items are arranged in the order they were received from the donor.
