Jardine / Neiland family with the MacComb family

The part of the house showing is the house the Neilands built on to the original structure. There were two downstairs bedrooms. Upstairs was quite open and beds were "here and there".

New Year's Eve 1937

New Year's Eve lunch and dance in the community hall (schoolhouse). Various inscriptions on verso: "Jenny Jardine / eyes closed / Doreen Tapley / Pat Woods behind Doreen" ; "Mrs Gasqu[illeg] / Mrs Wollard / Tapley" ; "Don't think these are much Good Fred / too bad my Flash was on the Bum at the time / In a hurry to catch the mail / Angus"

The inscription on the back of the second photograph (b) reads "my mums garden 34 1/2 mile Ranch, about 1930, dog Flossy, railway track, J. Betts."
