Fonds contain the records of Don MacLaurin. MacLaurin was involved in the forestry industry of British Columbia, taught at BCIT, and was heavily involved with the Resort Municipality of Whistler. He was in several forestry associations, including the Canadian Institute of Forestry, British Columbia Foresters, and the Forest Nursery Association of British Columbia. MacLaurin created the Whistler Interpretive Forest. MacLaurin also completed assessments for private developers. Included in the fonds are his personal records.

Most of the records were created in the Whistler region.

Letters from Eldon Beck and Mr. Mike Vance, coordinator, planning and design of Whistler Village Land Co. Ltd. Includes various designs and sketches, as well as the initial statement of concept for Whistler Village.

Whistler Village Report issues:
Oct. 1979: articles on the progress of construction in Whistler and the 1988 Olympic bid.
Dec. 1979: pictures and articles on the development of Whistler Village. Includes a picture of mayor Pat Carleton at construction site.
Jan. 1980: articles on phase two of Whistler Village construction.
Mar. 1980: articles on the development of the Mountain Inn Hotel and Whistler Resort Centre.
Apr. 1980: articles on the process of construction in Whistler Village.
July 1980: article on Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay's visit to Whistlers' new golf course. Palmer and Seay designed over 75 golf course in United States and assisted in the development of the Whistler Golf Course.

Board meeting agenda for the Whistler Museum and Archives Society May 10, 1989. Olympic Games Planner

A daily calendar and planner entitled "A Local's Guide to the 2010 Olympic Games". It includes tips for planning around the Olympic Games, as well as information on how access the events and torch relays, with a focus on February and March of 2010. It also includes maps and information on what's happening in and around Whistler is 2010, a short history of the Olympic journey, and interesting facts.
