Series consists of meeting minutes, newspaper and magazine clippings, correspondence, a report, and a feasibility study relating to the development of Whistler as a ski hill and a residential area in the 1960s. There is a particular focus on Whistler Alpine Villa Ltd., for which Hartland M. MacDougall (donor's father) worked. Also mentioned are the Whistler Skier's Chapel and Garibaldi Lifts Ltd. It states that the company's first meeting has been postponed so that proper notice may be given to all shareholders, and informs them that an important special resolution will be proposed at the meeting for their consideration. The report also gives information on recent developments regarding directors and officers, a management agreement, a shareholders' rental agreement, Whistler Development Company Limited, and general matters. It is signed by secretary Michael Doyle and president Winslow Bennett.

Item consists of meeting minutes (4 pages) from an informal meeting of the pro-tem Directors of Whistler Alpine Villa Limited, held in the offices of Bull, Housser and Tupper at noon on Tuesday, November 19th, 1965. Topics discussed include but are not limited to: the appointment of directors, insurance, fire-fighting equipment, rental agreements, registration of the company, and a proposed Extraordinary Meeting. The minutes are signed by pro-tem secretary Michael Doyle.

Also included with the meeting minutes are: a letter (1 page) from Doyle to Mr. Roy B. Jacobson at Whistler Development Co. Ltd., dated November 22, 1965, regarding insurance and the election of directors; and a list (1 page) of the pro-tem directors of Whistler Alpine Villa Ltd.
