The Whistler Village Report published by Whistler Village from December 1978. Articles are entitled: "Where We've Been ... and Where We're Going," "Joint Government Agreement Gives Whistler $9 Million," "Blackcomb Mountain Development Begins," "Snow Unseasonably Slow at Whistler," "Developments Proceed With Set Schedule," and "New Council Sworn In."

The articles are about the subjects of the history of Whistler as a resort town and the building of Whistler Village, the Whistler Village log, a 9 million dollar grant from the federal and provincial governments for resort development and town planning, the development of Blackcomb Mountain, the unseasonably slow snow, the seasonal schedule for development in Whistler and the new council for the Resort Municipality of Whistler being sworn in.

Olympic Games Planner

A daily calendar and planner entitled "A Local's Guide to the 2010 Olympic Games". It includes tips for planning around the Olympic Games, as well as information on how access the events and torch relays, with a focus on February and March of 2010. It also includes maps and information on what's happening in and around Whistler is 2010, a short history of the Olympic journey, and interesting facts. The planner is divided into Live, Work and Play sections to provide locals with helpful information.

Blackcomb Whistler Higher Ground Booklet

Promotional booklet advertising upcoming developments on Whistler Mountain, made possible by the investment of $24 million in the resort by Intrawest. These include a new high-speed detachable quad chairlift for the peak, improved alpine trails, the reintroduction of Franz's Chair, the complete renovation of the Roundhouse Lodge, and the redevelopment of Creekside base. The pamphlet includes modern photographs of the peak, archival photographs (Myrtle and Alex Philip and others on Whistler Mountain; Alan White, Nancy Greene, Roy Ferris, and Toni Sailer; and Rob Boyd) and concept art for the new Creekside.

Garibaldi: Blueprint for the future

Item is a large newspaper article from page 3 of The Lions Gate Times, entitled "Garibaldi: Blueprint for the future" and dated Thursday, January 16, 1964. The article discusses potential ski hill development within Garibaldi Park, particularly at the Alta Lake/Whistler Mountain area. There are two 'sub-articles': "Garibaldi ski lift: the public can build it," by Mary MacDonald, and "On to Garibaldi," by Editor. Work Starts Garibaldi Ski Resort

Item is a newspaper article entitled "Work Starts Garibaldi Ski Resort," announcing the beginning of construction work at the Garibaldi Ski Resort on Whistler Mountain. Included are a black-and-white photograph of a gondola and a cross-sectional drawing of a housing unit in the Alpine Village. The article was reprinted from Journal of Commerce Weekly, June 12 1965.
