Harrop's home

Helen Newall, Bert Harrop and Agnes Harrop in front of the Harrop's home after it was completed by Bert and Mr Tapley. Inscriptions on verso : "Helen Newall / Bert Harrop / Agnes Harrop } Their [houseboat?] home built at Rainbow by Mr Harrop [illeg] Dad Tapley - Bert's first [illeg] carpenter work (he was a cabinetmaker in England). The first summer cottage on the hillside, all of which are still standing (1981) + will last another fifty years." and "Approx 1925 / Teahouse."

Harrop's Cottages with PGE Tracks

This photograph shows a view of Alta Lake that encompasses both Harrop's cabins and the PGE Railway tracks. In addition, note the person out rowing on the glassy surface of the lake.

An annotation on the reverse of the photograph reads, "My last day at Alta Lake- 1953 Fall."
