Fonds contain the records of Don MacLaurin. MacLaurin was involved in the forestry industry of British Columbia, taught at BCIT, and was heavily involved with the Resort Municipality of Whistler. He was in several forestry associations, including the Canadian Institute of Forestry, British Columbia Foresters, and the Forest Nursery Association of British Columbia. MacLaurin created the Whistler Interpretive Forest. MacLaurin also completed assessments for private developers. Included in the fonds are his personal records.

Most of the records were created in the Whistler region.

Series includes a CD; a phonographic record; Canadian Institute of Forestry (CIF)/Society of American Foresters Joint Meeting programme pamphlet; CIF Convention programme pamphlets; correspondence, maps, and notes associated with a CIF Presentation; CIF receipts; correspondence; reports; notes; cubic-foot volume tables for types of trees; a CIF convention manual/breast pocket name badge; a news clipping referring to a CIF convention; meeting attendance notes; CIF Vancouver Section meeting notes.

Notes:
Two files with suspected moisture damage or mold put in archival-safe folder within file.

CD was in an envelope that was not archival-safe with "CIF 2001 Presentation" written on it. CD is labelled "Don's Presentation Forestry 2001".

Files together in archival paper folder were in envelope that was not archival-safe with "C.I.F. Presentation to Section Meeting - Vancouver O/H - copies to be made".

Phonographic record labelled "Arranged for Canadian Instituted of Forestry, Published by Kisiskadjewan Music BMI-2:52, Munro's Sound Centre, Prince Albert Sask., Forestry Is For People (John Noble . Stan Rowden) PRINCE ALBERTS ROVING GUITARS".
