Joe Howard is a mountain bike guide and coach for Arbutus Routes in Whistler and a manager for ML6 Talent + Advisory. Joe was born in the United Kingdom in 1987. He completed a Bachelor degree in Environmental Earth Science and then a Master's degree in Environmental Monitoring and Analysis at Aberystwyth University in Aberystwyth, Wales. He spent his first summer season in Whistler in 2009 before returning to the United Kingdom. Beginning in 2015, he worked as a technical sales representative for A1-Envirosciences in Blyth, Northumberland, UK, and bought a house in Sheffield, UK before moving to Whistler in 2017. His first job in Whistler was a sales and customer service representative position for Ridebooker, which he began in 2017. He was promoted to partner relations manager for the company in 2018, a position he held until 2020. From 2020 to 2021 he was an owner/operator for Apres Spa Services. Since 2021, he has been working for ML6 Search + Talent Advisory, first as an associate, then a senior associate, and currently a manager. He holds CSIA Level 2 ski instructor certification as well as PMBI Level 2 mountain bike instructor certification, and he also works for Arbutus Routes as a mountain bike guide and coach. He enjoys mountain biking and skiing in his free time.
