        Chad Hendren is a big mountain skier, downhill and enduro mountain biker, and mountain guide/coach. He was born in [1972] and grew up skiing Whistler and the North Shore mountains near Vancouver. He has been a mountain/ski guide for Extremely Canadian in Whistler since 2001. He has competed and placed in Crankworx downhill mountain biking races, and has coached mountain biking since 2004, when he and Caroline L' Hereux started the Whistler Bike Park's first DFX (Downhill-Four Cross or Downhill Freeride Cross-Country) program. He had 5 surgeries between 2003 and 2013: two blown knees, an ankle rebuild, a shoulder rebuild, and a wrist rebuild. In 2003, he founded Dincus Apparel (snow and bike apparel) along with his friend, Greg Thompson. The eco-friendly apparel brand went on to find distributors across North America and sponsor local athletes, having a retail space behind Buffalo Bills in Whistler Village. From 2009 to 2011 Chad was a downhill mountain bike coach and manager for Cycling BC in Vancouver. From 2010 to 2013 he was a sales and marketing leader for Sombrio Apparel. In 2016, he became the owner/founder of Gravity MTB, a mountain bike coaching company and non-profit bike recycling company in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. Since 2022, he has been the Downhill Mountain Biking National Team Gravity Coach for Cycling Canada.
