Biographical history
Greg Griffith is a photographer and owner of Mountain Moments Photography Ltd. in Whistler. He was born in 1948 in Sydney, Australia. He moved to Whistler in 1973 to ski. After traveling in Europe for two years, Greg and his wife, Pat, settled again in Whistler, where they raised a son, Eric Griffith. Greg is a specialist in ski and snowboard action photography, and he is equally renowned for his dramatic scenery and aerial images. Greg is the owner of Mountain Moments Photography Ltd. and has shot photos in Whistler for more than three decades. His photos have appeared in many publications, and his company has published a photo book titled 'Whistler'.

John Bartosik, a prolific commercial and conceptual photographer, lived in Whistler for 8 years beginning in 1977 to work in the tourism industry as a photographer after obtaining a degree in Photo Arts from Ryerson Polytechnic Institute (Ryerson University). Bartosik’s work has appeared in advertising campaigns for companies such as American Express, Labatt’s, and Bell Canada as well as in National Geographic Magazine, Equinox, Maclean’s, Beautiful British Columbia, and Western Living. In 2008 Bartosik won Applied Arts Magazine’s annual competition in the conceptual art photography category for an image from his “Rock of Ages” fine art series which features an interpretive and artistic view of the Precambrian Shield. Bartosik has also published 3 books – Sea to Sky Country (1997), Whistler & Blackcomb Country (1997), and Barrie Country (1998) and currently operates a photography studio in Barrie, ON.
