Odd Eidsvik was an accountant, alderman, Prince Rupert Port Authority Director, board member of the Prince Rupert Airport Society, member of the Rotary Club of Prince Rupert, charter member of Hecate Strait Rotary Club, and a multiple recipient of the Paul Harris Award. He grew up in Dodge Cover, BC, and first worked as a commercial fisherman before becoming an accountant.
