It was founded by Whistler resident David Demers in 1988, with just 10 units, growing to 300 units by 1998. The properties where located throughout Whistler, and a number of the Signature Homes residences were selected as accommodations for Prince Charles and his entourage during ski vacations in the 1990s. Crown Resort Accommodations employed 70 people by 1998.
