A letter from Jan Systad, to the voters in the Alta Lake community, expressing her desire to be elected as Alderman in the new resort municipality of Whistler. She expresses that she wants to work towards developing Whistler "into a thriving resort area, with benefits to both tourists and residents."

A letter to the voters of the resort municipality of Whistler, from Garry Watson. In this letter Watson expresses his intent to run for Alderman, and outlines his goals and plans he will work towards, if elected. He states that he wants to work to developing a town centre with amenities for residents and visitors. He wants Whistler to grow into a larger year round resort municipality.

A letter from Julia Heine, to the voters of Whistler, discussing her campaign for Alderman. Also included is a newspaper clipping of Heine running for Alderman. In her letter, Heine states how she wants Whistler to be developed, but done in a careful way, in which there isn't overspending on unnecessary amenities.

Documents include personal files, correspondence, pamphlets, posters, maps, and other promotional material regarding events, planning, accommodation, and services in the Whistler area from 1980 to 1996.
