Thedy Brändli is a professional skier and ski coach. He is a dual citizen of Switzerland and Canada, and has raced for both the Canadian and Swiss national alpine ski teams. After retiring from the Canadian Alpine Ski Team and attending the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology for Business, he took up coaching in Sun Peaks, BC. In 2001, an opportunity arose to coach in Switzerland, and he coached the Swiss Men’s Europa Cup team there, producing a 2017 World Cup win for Niels Hintermann in Wengen. Prior to that, Brändli coached with Switzerland’s national development team, regional teams and was the technical instructor for the Swiss women’s B and C teams. In 2017, he moved back to Canada to coach the Alberta Ski Team as Head Coach.
