Bowie, Darryl

Darryl Bowie is a former freestyle skier and currently a real estate agent for ReMax in the Sea to Sky area. He attended University of Texas at Dallas. Darryl has been skiing for over 50-years, 10 of those competing on the Freestyle World Cup alongside his brother (Rick), winning a few gold medals along the way, and former Canadian Champion. Darryl was responsible for creating the original Canadian Freestyle Skiers Association and guiding the sport into the Winter Olympics in 1988. Darryl is a Level 3 certified ski instructor with the CSIA (Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance) and is currently a guide for Extremely Canadian Steeps Clinics in his home of Whistler. After competitive skiing, Darryl became involved with major league sports with the Montreal Expos and the Edmonton Oilers, responsible for their corporate partnerships. He had the same responsibilities with BC Place Stadium and the Calgary Stampede and the Saddledome. Darryl was a team member to the launch of Air Miles, responsible for partnership sales. Darryl is a certified Negotiation Expert, launched Luxury Beach Real Estate, managed Coldwell Banker Real Estate in Puerto Vallarta Mexico, and was part of the launch team for Vancouver House. He also worked in sales and marketing for Skyline Investments in Toronto. Darryl is a graduate of the UBC, Sauder School of Business, as a licensed realtor. He currently lives in Whistler, BC.
