History
Eric Beardmore was a pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force who fought in the Battle of Britain. He was shot-down and injured there. In 1938, Eric Beardmore married his wife, Jean. They moved to Victoria in 1943, where Eric was stationed in coastal reconnaissance for the later war years. After Eric's discharge in 1945, they moved to Vancouver. They had one son, Ian Beardmore. Eric Beardmore was on of the Vancouver professionals who was one of the original directors when Garibaldi Lift Company was incorporated, headed by Franz Wilhelmsen. He died in August 1966.
