Administrative history

The Alta Lake Sports Club was a community organization that worked to host events, activities, and sports for the community of Whistler. The club proposed and built the Lost Lake cross country ski trails in 1980, under Al Fisher's presidency.

Scope and content

Proposal for the "Construction of Crosscountry ski trails in the Lost Lake Municipal Park". Prepared and submitted by Alta Lake Sports Club. The proposal went ahead, although not to the exact specifications in this document. Also includes a double sided map. Side one is a "Whistler area map" scale 1 : 50,000. Side two is a sketched map by Trevor Roote detailing where the proposed trails should be built. Scale 3/4" = 500 ft. Also includes blueprint for the "Ski Support facilities" which were never built. Scale 1/8" = 1'. DSN. N. Petrescu, 25 Jan, 1980.
