Gary Izawa is a reserve member of the Canadian Armed Forces, a combat engineer, and a paramedic. He has worked as a paramedic for the BC Ambulance Service in Nanaimo, BC since 1997. He has been a combat engineer and member of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves since 2004, as well as a Squadron Sergeant Major since 2022. He lives in North Vancouver.

Blair Ivens is. He skied Blackcomb Mountain during the 1991/1992 winter season. From 1996 to 1998, he attended Vancouver College in Vancouver. From 1994 to 2003 he worked for Subway Sandwiches, eventually as the European Regional Manager, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Prague, Czech Republic. From 2002 to 2014, he CEO of the Cottage Group (restaurant and retail company) in Hunstville, ON. Since 2004, he has also been the secretary of the board of directors for Dabble Corp., a commercial waterfront property in Hunstville. In the 2010s, he and his family (wife, Amanda Cooke, and two children) moved to Australia. From 2012 to 2017, he was the director of Ready Steady Go Kids, a pre-school multi-sport program in Gold Coast, QLD. From 2014 to 2017, he was the managing director/operations manager for the University of Queensland (UQ). From 2016 to 2017, he completed his MBA at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, QLD, where he was part of the UQ Student Union's board. From 2014 to 2020, he was the president of the Brisbane Buccaneers Ice Hockey Club (BBIHC) as well as Ice Hockey Queenland (IHQ). During the 2018/2019 hockey season, he was the head coach of the Queensland U15 Hockey Team. In 2020, he was inducted as a Life Member of the BBIHC.
