Helen Jefferson Lenskyj was born in Sydney, Australia and moved to Toronto in 1966, where she obtained her BA, MA, and PhD in Sociology in Education at the University of Toronto. She was appointed an Associate Professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education in 1990, promoted to Full Professor in 1996, and became Professor Emerita upon her retirement in 2007. She works as a researcher, writer, public speaker, and community activist. She has published many books, papers, and journal and magazine articles, primarily on the topics of gender, sexuality, and politics in sport. In September 2009, she gave a talk about the negative impact of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games at the Whistler Public Library.

Heather Paul is a Systems Analyst and Project Manager at the Resort Municipality of Whistler and the current chair of Arts Whistler. A professional emcee, public speaker, writer, performance artist, and theater director, she is involved in many local artistic and cultural projects and events, including the Chidlren's Festival, the 2009 play "SNOW: Whistler the Musical," and the 2010-11 Whistler Presents Concert Series. She founded Short Skirt Theatre Company, which has been giving community productions at the Arts Centre since 2002. In 2017 Paul was named Whistler's Citizen of the Year.

Maureen "Mo" Douglas is a strategist, management consultant, and the Executive Director of Arts Whistler. She served as the Executive Director of the Street Access Entertainment Society in Vancouver from 1986 to 1989, the Director of Festivals and Events at Tourism Whistler (1990-1999), the Director of Communications and Community Relations for VANOC (2010 Vancouver Olympic Comittee) from 2002 to 2010, and the Chair of the Pemberton Cultural Roundtable from 2012 to 2015. She was the founder and principal of a special events management and cultural tourism development firm called Moideas Management in Whistler. She has been a mentor with Diversity Whistler Youth Group since 2014 and the Executive Director of Arts Whistler since 2016. She has done consulting work for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games and the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympic Games. She is married and lives in Pemberton.

Other past activities of Douglas' include instructing at the BC Institute of Technology, running her own event tourism consulting firm, Moideas Management, serving as a consultant for the Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games, and directing an executive course on "Public Sector, Public Engagement, and Communications" with Clariden Leadership Institute in Singapore. in 2014, she travelled to Sochi to advocate for better LGBTQ inclusion in the Olympic Games, leading to the International Olympic Council introducing a sexual non-discrimination clause in their charter.
