Bob Dawson is co-founder and co-owner of the Rimrock Cafe in the Whistler Highlands area of Whistler's Nordic neighbourhood. He began in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher and rose to restaurant management, opening the Rimrock Cafe along with Rolf Gunther in 1986. In 2021, the Rimrock Cafe was announced 'Best Fine Dining Restaurant in Canada' by Tripadvisor, based solely on reviews.
Ron Hosner is a long-time Whistler resident and former founder and owner of Hoz's Pub, which was located in the Creekside area of Whistler. He grew up in Benton Harbor, MI and moved to Whistler in 1983, opening Hoz's Pub in Creekside with his wife. In his free time, he played on a softball team at that time. During the 1990s, he was vice president of the Whistler Chamber of Commerce as owner of Hoz's Pub. In 1996, he was elected chair of the Creekside Merchants' Association. In the late 1990s, he sold his pub to one of the pub's waitresses/bartenders: Karen Roland, who renamed the pub 'Roland's Pub', which is currently in the location to this day. He currently lives in Penticton, BC.
Fernand Desroches is a former Whistler resident and [resident?] of Vernon, BC who was awarded the Order of Jopo by the Vernon Winter Carnival Society.
Rachelle Johnson lived in Whistler in the 2000s and was involved with the Whistler Trail Dogs group. She organized events for this group, including the K9 Wine and Dine Sunday event begun in 2003. She was also involved in mountain biking, competing in the 2002 Samurai of Singletrack race in the Whistler area. She is married to Ned Johnson.
