Jill Almond grew up in Ontario, attending Queen's University in Kingston. She holds a Master's degree in Business Administration, as well as membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British COlumbia and the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario. She has been a Senior Resort Consultant at Ecosign Mountain Planning since 1994. Prior to this move to Whistler, she worked for five years in a project management capacity for a major real estate developer on two large capital intensive projects; MetroCentre, a $210 million office retail complex, and the redevelopment of the Toronto railway lands. While working with Ecosign in 2005, Jill directed a team of consultants in the preparation of a Best Practices Guide in Resort Development for the BC government. Ms. Almond’s transportation projects include the development of a Comprehensive Transportation Strategy for the Resort Municipality of Whistler, a 3-year project involving extensive public consultation, and smaller projects for the resort communities of Zermatt, Livingo, Keystone, Banff, and Rossland.
