Kim Allan is a forestry management professional who has worked in several forest districts in British Columbia. He attended North Vancouver Senior Secondary School from 1968-1971 and received his Bachelor of Science in Forestry from UBC in 1978. He has been a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) since 1981, a Certified Arborist (International Society of Arboriculture) since 1994, and a Canadian Institute of Forestry member since 1978. After working with BC Forest Products on Vancouver Island for a decade, he became the Director of Forest Management for the District of Mission, BC in 1989. After retiring as director in 2013, is continuing forestry work as a consultant.

Brian Allen and his wife Connie Allen lived in the town of Garibaldi, which was eventually moved to Pinecrest due to geological fears about the Barrier becoming unstable. The couple's lease to their land, upon which they’d built a home and workshop, was suddenly cancelled when the order in council came down and the decision to evacuate the town was made by the government. The couple were reportedly the last residents to leave Garibaldi townsite.

Gordie Allen moved to Whistler to ski in the late 1960s. He was a frequent visitor at the Nita Lake Toad Hall and eventually moved into the Soo Valley logging camp Toad Hall, though he did not appear in the famous "Toad Hall" poster. He moved to Rock Creek, BC in the mid-1970s where he worked as a commercial fisherman until he retired. He continues to live in Rock Creek today.

Michael Allen is an independent researcher who investigates the behavior and ecology of black bears (Ursus americanus). He has been studying black bears for 25 years, with the last 17 of those in the Sea to Sky Corridor. Michael's first experience watching bears in the Whistler area was at the Whistler Dump in 1992. His mission is to document the unique lives of individual bears through photography and observed behaviors so that people can better understand how a bear adapts to environmental changes brought on by man, climate, and other bears. He has led countless bear tours, talks, and education sessions in Whistler.
