Get Bear Smart Society

The Get Bear Smart Society (GBS), formerly known as the Jennifer Jones Whistler Bear Foundation, is a non-profit registered charity formed in 1995 advocating for bears. They work to minimize the number of bears killed as a result of human-caused problems. Although their work informs and influences bear management practices and policies across North America, they have focused much of their time and energy on the resort community of Whistler, BC, where they are based.

Beaver Lumber was a Canadian building supply chain owned by Molson since 1972 and begun in 1883 as Banbury Bros. Lumber Co. in Wolseley, SK before adopting the name 'Beaver' in 1904. It was once Canada's fourth largest building supply chain with 138 stores. In 2000 it was purchased by Home Hardware, a cooperative of over 1000 independent Canadian hardware stores. Beaver Lumber stores were rebranded as Home Building Centres.

The Black Tusk Snowmobile Club (BTSC) is a non-profit snowmobiling organization founded in 1971 in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada on the heels of a failed ski development. Soon after, The BTSC negotiated it's tenure on Brohm Ridge, North of Squamish at approximately 5300ft above sea level. Brohm Ridge offers a wide variety of terrain; large bowls for hill climbing, challenging creek & treed routes, breathtaking peaks, endless powder, and meadows & groomed trails for novice riders & children. They have two buildings: The Chalet (sleeps 40 plus) and The Clubhouse (sleeps 14). The club currently hosts an Alpine Learning Center for avalanche training. The group practices safe snowmobiling, environmental stewardship, and community involvement.
